EXHIBITIONS 19 December 2009 - 28 February 2010 «THE SATIRICAL JOURNALS FROM THE TRENCHES DURING THE FORST WORLD WAR» From 1915 to 1918 many writers and artists in the Army used to edit satirical journals in order to cheer the troops up.

TRADOTTA» The weekly La Tradotta was the most well known paper among the World War One trench newspapers, each of which consisted of lampoons and reflections, poems and cartoons, satirising the military and political situation of World War One. Many of their contributors were painters, illustrators and writers who would become very famous after the War.

4 April - 14 June 2009 «THE SATIRICAL ART OF MINO MACCARI'S PERIODICAL "IL SELVAGGIO" (The Savage) (1924 - 1943)». On show the original issues and the etchings of this famous periodical which Maccari directed from 1924 to1943. The visitors will also be presented with coloured versions of these etchings which Maccari had printed in 1943.
