The International Political Satire Awards Forte dei Marmi is unanimously considered the Italian capital of political satire: all the best Italian and foreign cartoonists were awarded here: Altan, Forattini, Pino Zac, Pericoli e Pirella, Chiappori, Staino, Giuliano Claude Serre, Kerleroux, Tignous, Tim, Ralph Steadman, A. Krauze, David Levine, Jules Feiffer, Garry B. Trudeau, Pat Oliphant just to mention a few of them. The International Political Satire Awards was created in 1973 and still today is a quite unique event with the participation of satirical writers, journalists, cabaret actors, people from satirical tv programs and so on. It takes place once a year in September in Forte dei Marmi.
	The Museum of Satire and Caricature. The Museum of Satire and Caricature, located in the Leopoldo 1st Fort, organizes satirical exhibitions all the year round, the program of which can be found on the website of the Museum: www.museosatira.it
